Welcome to “Introduction to Positive Youth Development,” a self-paced distance learning course from the Family and Youth Services Bureau.
The course is divided into two modules:
Module 1: Concepts and Theories of Positive Youth Development (about 45 minutes)
Module 2: Putting Positive Youth Development Into Practice (about 60 minutes)
Click on either module to get started. We recommend starting with Module 1.
You do not have to finish a module in one sitting. You may take a break any time you want. When you log back in, you will be returned to the point where you left off.
You may also go back to a section you have already completed. Simply click on a link in the right-hand column.
The course is accompanied by a voiceover. You may turn the sound on and off by clicking on the speaker icon at the bottom left of the slideshow.
Each module contains several short quizzes and a final test. Once you have successfully taken the final test for each module, you will receive a certificate indicating the number of training hours you have completed.
